The rally will highlight opposition to President Obama’s “stimulus” bill.
President Obama will be in Denver tomorrow to sign the largest spending bill in American history- The Generational Theft Act.

LA Hamas Supporters Scream: “Long Live Hitler- Put Jews In the Ovens” (Video)

In Los Angeles this week the pro-Hamas protesters were cheering for Hitler and–
“Put the Jews in the oven!”

This protest was held in Los Angeles on January 6, 2009 in front of the Israeli Consulate. One group was protesting for Israel’s right to self defense. The other group was protesting in support of Hamas terrorists and for the destruction of Israel:

Bill O’Reilly slammmmmmed Rep. Barney Frank, the failed Chairman of the House Services Committee for his role in the Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac scandal tonight.
Frank tried to fire back but looked ridiculous.

Here is what Rep. Frank said about Fannie and Freddie back in 2003. It would be pretty funny if it didn’t cost $700 billion:

That is, in my view, the two government sponsored enterprises we are talking about here, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are not in a crisis. We have recently had an accounting problem with Freddie Mac that has led to people being dismissed, as appears to be appropriate. I do not think at this point there is a problem with a threat to the Treasury.

I must say we have an interesting example of self-fulfilling prophecy. Some of the critics of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac say that the problem is that the Federal Government is obligated to bail out people who might lose money in connection with them. I do not believe that we have any such obligation. And as I said, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy by some people.

So let me make it clear, I am a strong supporter of the role that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac play in housing, but nobody who invests in them should come looking to me for a nickel–nor anybody else in the Federal Government.

When the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate back in January of 2007, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at an all-time high of 12,400 and gas prices hovered around $2.15 per gallon. The Republican-led Congress of the previous 4-years had left a strong-economy in the hands of Socialist Democrats.

Fast-forward two years, under Democrat-controlled Congress. Just last week the Dow Jones hit a 5-year low of 10,485 and gas prices loomed near $4 dollars a gallon.

I was doing some research on the great Scoop Jackson from my state Washington when I google the following phrase “portraits of five of the greatest U.S. Senators” and guess who the third portrait is that comes up? Barack Obama!!! Can you believe that? I have had it with google!!! I tried to research good news from Iraq a while back and mostly got anti-war, anti-Bush crap. I have never voted for a Republican in my 58 years, however, I am so disgusted by the behavior of the left, the media morphing into Barack’s Big Brother and Democrats blatant distortions and lies that I am voting straight Republican. I will now change my choice of search enginge effective immediately. Lastly, thank you for your blog and the work you do.

Iraqis Clean Up Jewish Cemetery & Cultural Landmark in Basra

Municipal authorities in the southern city of Basra have mounted a campaign to clean up the Jewish cemetery there. The cemetery is seen as one of Basra’s ‘cultural landmarks’ and the authorities want to keep it clean and tidy, said Ahmad al-Yasseri who heads the cleaning-up campaign.

There are no Jews left in the city which used to house a sizeable Jewish community of tens of thousands before the creation of Israel in 1948. They were the finest goldsmiths and the most adventurous traders of Basra, known as the Venice of the Middle East. The lived in one of the city’s smartest (English use means nicest) quarters with spacious villas adorned with palm trees and oranges.

Yasseri said in the tumultuous post-Saddam period, 62 houses were built on the cemetery grounds illegally. “This cemetery is one of the cultural landmarks of Basra and we are determined to remove the illegal dwellings,” he said.

In July 2007 Iraq announced that it would renovate the ancient synagogue holding the prophet Nahum’s tomb.

From 1930 onwards, the Jews throughout Iraq were subjected to increasingly oppressive laws, and in 1948 the last of the Jewish population left Al Qush, the rabbi handing the keys of the synagogue to the next-door neighbour of the synagogue. Al Qush now almost exclusively comprises Chaldean Christians. The Jewish Quarter of Al Qush, including the synagogue, is in a poor state of repair. The remains of this quarter are, in parts, more than two thousand years old. In the centre of the synagogue – on the edge of the quarter – is a simple plaster tomb topped by a green silken coverlet. This tomb is purportedly the tomb of Nahum himself. (Tomb of Nahum)

In related news… There were only 6 combat related deaths of US soldiers in Iraq in September.
This was the lowest number since the war began in 2003.

Busted… Soldier’s Family Told Obama Not to Wear Son’s Bracelet!

The Father of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek asked Barack Obama to stop wearing his son’s bracelet.
Obama ignored the father.
NewsBusters reported:

Barack Obama played the “me too” game during the Friday debates on September 26 after Senator John McCain mentioned that he was wearing a bracelet with the name of Cpl. Matthew Stanley, a resident of New Hampshire and a soldier that lost his life in Iraq in 2006. Obama said that he too had a bracelet. After fumbling and straining to remember the name, he revealed that his had the name of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Shockingly, however, Madison resident Brian Jopek, the father of Ryan Jopek, the young soldier who tragically lost his life to a roadside bomb in 2006, recently said on a Wisconsin Public Radio show that his family had asked Barack Obama to stop wearing the bracelet with his son’s name on it. Yet Obama continues to do so despite the wishes of the family.
