Vote No on Amendment 59

Diana Hsieh lays out the arguments for voting against Amendment 59, the TABOR-killing tax increase. In short, the ballot measure so saccharinely named “SAFE - Savings Account For Education” is a permanent tax increase, making an end-run around TABOR to provide yet more funding for state-operated K-12 education while employing the “lotto effect” (a dollar-for-dollar offset from the general fund) to increase state [...]
