by Bob Adelmann | 5:11 am, January 7, 2012
Once again, here is another example of a big company that has figured out how to “game” the system: support the free market when they win, but run to Mother Government when the competition gets too rough.
Christmas Redux: Americans Live Better for Less Thanks to Market Innovation
by Bob Adelmann | 5:53 pm, December 29, 2011
This article didn’t start out to talk about Sears’ problems, but it was a perfect fit to illustrate the “creative destruction” of the market economy and its impact on companies including big and once-successful stores like Sears.

by elpresidente | 6:21 am, December 22, 2011
People’s Press Collective has thrown together a quick, informal, and non-intended-to-be-scientific-but-fun-anyway survey for our readers to rank their Top Political Stories in Colorado for the past year. There have been some doozies, which would be an understatement.
Trump Claims He was Blackmailed by Republicans
by Bob Adelmann | 7:55 am, December 18, 2011
Of all the people who are disappointed that Trump won’t be moderating the debate (if there is one), Trump himself is probably the most disappointed. According to The Donald, “millions of people are following what I say,” and now he won’t be able to say it.

by Bob Adelmann | 12:46 pm, November 30, 2011
The standard economic mantra is “Price controls never work.” By that it is meant that such controls never solve the inflation problem created by printing money. The Misdirected Anger of the Occupiers
by Vande Krol | 4:58 pm, November 10, 2011
“I’ll have a hamburger, for which I’ll gladly pay you, Tuesday”. Wimpy.Comics often allow a humorous glimpse into real life. I remember growing up and reading Family Circus every Sunday, tracing Billy as he ambled from amusement to amazement th…
First Thing, Let’s Crash All The Banks
by Joshua Sharf | 11:47 pm, October 31, 2011
The latest idea from MoveOn.org and their friends and OWS is to withdraw all their money from the “Wall Street Banks,” and to move it to smaller, community banks and credit unions on November 5th. If such a move were to take place on the scale they’d like, it would be a deliberately created bank [...]
