850 KOA radio show host Mike Rosen played the audio from our video on Proposition 103, noting that a robo-dial for the $2.9 billion tax increase somehow fails to note that it’s a…tax increase. Prop. 103 itself is a bad idea, as we’ve documented.

I e-mailed the largest teachers’ union in Colorado to ask if they planned further support “in time or money” of Prop. 103, the $2.9 billion tax hike on the Nov. 1 ballot. Here’s the response…

It’s easier to sell a tax increase by saying that it’s “for the kids,” when the the truth is that the money is fungible in Colorado’s General Fund, with no way to guarantee that all the additional revenue generated would go to education. Just another reason to vote no on Prop. 103.

Victor Mitchell, a businessman and former Colorado state representative, is spearheading SaveColoradoJobs.org, an organization opposed to the $3 billion tax increase on the ballot Nov. 1. Public schools are lacking reform, not funding, said Mitchell.
