Don’t Bet Against Nevada, Gov. Sandoval Breaking Through on School Choice
by Eddie | 2:20 pm, November 14, 2011
Occasionally I like to take a peek around at other states and see if there’s anything Colorado can glean from them, or vice versa, or just to get a bigger picture of the education reform debate. Today let’s look west at Nevada. Why? Because of the new School Reform News story penned — er, keyboarded? [...]

Brave New Films Bravely Fails in Koch “Setup”
by T.L. James | 11:45 am, November 13, 2011
Oops. “Truth-telling” filmmaker Robert Greenberg needs to find less-inept assistants. Apparently, in trying to “prove” that the Kochs are “unresponsive” to critics, Greenberg’s team made several phone calls to a Koch number in rapid succession, leaving a recorded message each time — and in a couple of cases, accidentally recording themselves after they thought they’d [...]

Backbone Radio, November 13, 2011
by Rossputin | 7:16 am, November 12, 2011
[UPDATE: At 5:33 PM, we’ll have Ryan Call, Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, on the air to talk about the new redistricting map approved by a judge in Denver this week. We’ll also talk about Colorado’s likely role in the 2012 presidential election as well as other interesting political issues.]
On this Sunday’s edition of Backbone Radio, this week’s co-host, Matt Schmitz, and I will talk about everything from corruption in sports (not just the despicable events at Penn State), Republican candidates, and the Obama Administration’s remarkable cowardice in refusing to make a decision on a Canada-to-US pipeline which would create at least 20,000 American jobs.
We’ll also cover some of the more interesting election results of this past Tuesday. Much was made of the defeat of the “union-busting” law in Ohio, but internals tell a different story than liberals and their media friends would like you to believe.
During the 6 PM hour, we’ll be joined by Phil Kerpen of Americans for Prosperity. We’ll discuss Phil’s excellent new book, Democracy Denied: How Obama is Ignoring You and Bypassing Congress to Radically Transform America – and How to Stop Him.
Please join me by listening to (and calling in to) this week’s Backbone Radio program from 5 PM to 8 PM on 710 AM KNUS in Denver and 1460 AM KZNT in Colorado Springs.
If you’re not in range of the radio waves, you should be able to listen to the show online by clicking HERE.
I hope you’ll actively participate in the conversation with me: Call the studio at 303 696 1971.
