What an incredible week in the stock market with Europe rallying massively and the US not far behind on news of something like a plan to avoid a default of Greek debt.
In the meantime, Herman Cain now leads in some national Republican polls, with Newt Gingrich slowly sneaking up into third place.
But one of my favorite (which is to say which angered me the most) stories of the week was an attorney filing a lawsuit on behalf of Muslim students at Catholic University for not providing them with rooms with Christian symbols for their own Muslim prayers. This is, as one commenter put it, “turning civil rights on its head.”
We’ll talk about all that during this Sunday’s Backbone Radio, while also having a couple of fascinating guests:
In the 5 PM hour, we’ll be joined by David Rubin of the Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. David is the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, and the author of The Islamic Tsunami: Israel and America in the Age of Obama. We’ll talk about the Middle East, about Israel, and about the Islamic threat to Western Civilization.
Then, at 6 PM, we’ll be joined by “Instapundit” Glenn Reynolds, now of Pajamas Media – or should I say formerly Pajamas Media because Dr. Reynolds will tell us, among other things, about the upcoming rebranding of Pajamas. If you have any questions for one of the most influential bloggers in America, please feel free to call in – or e-mail me your questions at ross (at) backboneradio (dot) net and I’ll ask them for you if time allows.
Please join me by listening to (and calling in to) this week’s Backbone Radio program from 5 PM to 8 PM on 710 AM KNUS in Denver and 1460 AM KZNT in Colorado Springs.
If you’re not in range of the radio waves, you should be able to listen to the show online by clicking HERE.
I hope you’ll actively participate in the conversation with me: Call the studio at 303 696 1971.

Paul Ryan at the Heritage Foundation
by Rossputin | 6:41 am, October 29, 2011
On Wednesday, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan gave a speech at the Heritage Foundation. This sort of talk comes from a man who realizes that good policy can be, and right now probably is, good politics.
If somehow Barack Obama wins re-election in 2012, which I don’t expect, I will support Paul Ryan for president in 2016. If a Republican wins in 2012, I will support Paul for President in 2020.
