Grillin’ and Chillin’ with Eric Sondermann –
“A Perspective on These Polarized Times and What Lies Ahead in the 2012 Election Year”
We’re trying out the Red Rocks Grille at the Sheraton (6th and Union, Lakewood) for our next two meetups, ’cause we’ve got some amazing speakers and programming which you will not want to miss! (others would be charging for these upcoming events, but we won’t). Red Rocks Grille (great name choice!) will be offering us happy hour pricing on appetizers and drinks, in addition to their extensive full menu. On our “grill” menu, we start with our education mini-series, featuring:
Krista Kafer, Colorado native, author, senior education policy expert at the Heritage Foundation, a frequent contributor to the national press and media, consultant, senior fellow of the Independence Institute and the Magellan Center, and a Lincoln Fellow with the Claremont Institute. Ms. Kafer, a charter school heavyweight involved in charter school evaluation and congressional education committee work, will serve up her perspective on, Charter schools, the good, the bad, and the ugly. You’ll better appreciate Ms. Kafer’s full “simply amazing and astounding” bio details at: http://www.i2i.org/kristakafer.php
For the main “grill” event, we offer…
…our featured guest Eric Sondermann! A familiar face as a high profile political analyst and media pundit (as well as being another Colorado native), Mr. Sondermann is the principal/chairman of SE2 (a communications firm focused solely on public policy issues) who will discuss with us the “big picture” as well as the nuts and bolts of: why we live in polarizing times; what the 2012 elections might deliver; and which primary candidates seem to resonate best based on the last debate (9/12/11). Mr. Sondermann is a regular panelist on “Colorado Inside Out,” host of the “Colorado Decides” series, sits on a number of boards and was a founding board member now incoming Board Chair of Get Smart Schools. His meteoric rise and impressive background details may be found at http://publicpersuasion.com/about_us/people/staff_detail/?sid=10&view=pro
We look forward to seeing you all!
