Hickenlooper Names Union Hack, Progressive Activist to Head Colorado Department of Labor

Isn't that just lovely.
Ellen Golombek, who worked for 14 years with the Service Employees International Union and Colorado AFL-CIO, is Democratic Gov.-Elect John Hickenlooper’s choice as head of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, succeeding Don Mares. ... Most recently, she is Colorado State Director for America Votes, a voter-rights organization.
Wait a minute. Where have I heard the name America Votes before? Oh, yes. Now I remember.
The “history making” Obama machine was directly engineered by ACORN’s voter database experiments. ACORN’s sister organization, Project Vote, received tax exempt money to fund a venture with the for-profit Catalist. Catalist, the Voter Activation Network, SEIU and America Votes provided the needed cover that allowed ACORN to operate in the background. Without regard for tax codes or campaign laws; candidates and groups like America Votes, SEIU, Project Vote and other “progressive organizations” at times share staff, resources and donors. ACORN boasts over 440,000 member families and Obama benefited from the free flowing data between the campaign and ACORN provided by Catalist. America is now facing a progressive agenda backed by a ready army of paid organizers trained in ACORN tactics, and the name Organizing for America seems to be missing a question mark.
Not only is Golombek a union hack, she's been leading a group that fronted for ACORN. The Colorado Statesman described America Votes thusly.
Washington D.C.-based America Votes is led by former state Sen. Joan Fitz-Gerald, D-Genesee. In 2004, she was part of the effort that propelled Democrats to capture control of the Colorado House and Senate, along with Ellen Golombek, then with the Colorado AFL-CIO. Golombek is now the director of America Votes Colorado. The non-profit is aligned with 300 state and nonprofit organizations to “advance progressive policies,” according to its website. America Votes was formed after the 2004 election, when the progressive community “saw a lack of coordination” and glaring gaps or tremendous overlap in the outreach programs, according to spokesman John Neurohr.
Not only has John Hickenlooper named a union thug to the head of Colorado's Department of Labor and Employment, he's named a hard-core progressive activist. Looks like payback to the unions. Way to boost those centrist credentials Hick.
