John Salazar is Not One of Us

Health insurance premiums are going up thanks to the provisions in ObamaCare. The mandated increases in benefits are forcing many small insurers to raise their premiums between one and nine percent. Add to that the number of businesses that are looking to decrease or eliminate health benefits and it's no wonder that John Salazar and other Democrats who voted for this mess are steering clear of ObamaCare.
Salazar has tried to pass off ObamaCare as a deficit reducer but that was mainly because it included a 24 percent cut in the Medicaid reimbursement rate. That cut has been postponed until December which wiped out most of the early savings.
In recent radio ads, Salazar has tried to pass himself off as "one of us." That falls down completely when one looks at his record. With ObamaCare, he is forcing every person and business to purchase health insurance whether they want it or not. Every person, that is, except himself. Salazar joined in with Democrats in exempting members of Congress from the ObamaCare provisions. Despite his claims of bucking his own party, he voted with Nancy Pelosi over 97 percent of the time.
Salazar's "one of us" credentials take an even bigger hit when you realize that he hasn't held a single town hall meeting in the San Luis Valley. What kind of Representative can represent his district if he never meets with them? The kind that is a stooge for corrupt Washington, DC interests.
November is coming and it's time for John Salazar to be sent back to the ranch.
