The Green Party platform can be summed up with a “nifty hat”

The Green Party candidate for U.S. Senate in Colorado, Bob Kinsey, can describe the Green Party platform with his nifty hat. If only all complex political ideas could be conveyed with the proper headgear. . .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVThLL_LLC8
"Isn't that a nifty hat I got here? With a sunflower and the peace sign? Those are some of the major issues that we in the Green Party talk about. That is, preserving our environment which is the very envelope that we live our lives . . . make it possible for us to live our lives. The flowers, the plants, the trees, the air we breathe , the clean water that we need in order to live healthy lives and in order to be able to grow the food that we need. And the other issue is peace. The issue of violence in the world. I'm talking about a non-violent revolution."

It’s awfully easy to accuse the BLS of fudging the numbers for political purposes, especially since an improving economy is likely to improve Obama’s chances for a second term. But honesty requires that we look more closely at those numbers.

You’re a day late and a dollar short Mr. Kinsey. The Tea Party already started to fight both big government and corporatism. The only difference we have is that the “planet” is not arbitrarily thrown in there; we represent only the PEOPLE. And since third parties only siphon votes from one party and give power to the other, the Tea Party has realized that we must work to reform both parties from within instead of putting up third party candidates. Admirable intentions for the most part (although you seem to espouse typical liberal values), but it will never work. Please, be my guest and siphon off votes from the dems like Nader did.

When I played the video all I wanted to see was the “nifty hat.” Fortunately, he showed us the hat early in the video, and at that point I terminated playback of this 10 minute video.
And his hat is not in the least nifty.
