The Democrat Party likes to paint Republicans as the party of Big Business; that may have been true once (although I don’t remember when), but it is certainly not true today. This short video was put together by the National Republican Senatorial Committee, but I’ve seen these numbers elsewhere and they’re easily verifiable:
The hypocrisy of the current Congress is breathtaking.
Meanwhile, remember Freddie and Fannie? They are absent from the debate on financial controls, even though they were smack dab in the middle of the housing/financial crises. There’s a good analysis of it at the Balance Sheet from the Business and Media Institute.
