Top 10 Reasons Why Both Parties Are in Tea Party Hot Water – #1 Corruption

1. CORRUPTION

The Top Reason why both major parties are in Tea Party hot water is CORRUPTION. Its rancorous stench permeates politicians and the parties  in Washington DC and most, if not all, state capitols. Even if some individuals have managed to resist temptation personally, they have not taken a firm stand against it or actions to stop it. It is a bi-partisan problem with scandals and cases going back almost to our inception, but there has been an exponential escalation of these in the last 50 years.

In response to Castro’s take-over of Cuba, Kennedy’s administration  allowed the CIA and Mob to end up in bed together. Johnson sarcastically was called Landslide Lyndon because of the voting “irregularities” that went on during his first election to the US Senate which gave him a narrow victory over his opponent. His manipulative win-at-all-costs ways used in elections and Congress continued into the Oval Office. Nixon was forced to resign over the corruption in his adminstration hell-bent on making sure he won re-election to a second term even though he was well on his way to doing so.  Reagan’s administration gave us the Iran-Contra affair. Clinton’s tenure was tainted by Travelgate, Filegate,  White Water, campaign finance irregularities, impeachment hearings for lying under oath and obstruction of justice regarding sexual harassment lawsuit, Pardongate, etc. Litany of improper conduct by those in the adminstration also was investigated with some convictions during the  younger Bush’s terms.  Now the legendary and infamous Chicago political ways appear to have been transported to Washington DC by the current administration. During all these decades, the legislative branch had its own substantial share of scandals and improper conduct as well the states which really seemed to explode after 1989 (link has incidents broken down by federal and state/local; federal is segmented by Executive, Legislative and Judicial).

How is it that our members of Congress and Senators in particular are so wealthy, especially those that did not have significant wealth before entering office or those whose wealth increased so substantially while public servants? Although some of it legal, it appears that our DC politicians and many of our governors are bought and paid for by big money power players such as George Soros on the Left and lower profile individuals on the Right as well as big businesses donating to both sides.  Just look at the lists of donors for a good idea to whom our elected officials and current candidates are beholden.

Even scarier and more threatening to our American Republic is that the corruption is now extending more often to the actual election process itself whereby major elections are being stolen, particularly by the Left (Republicans are not blameless in this area, they just do not seem to have take it as far yet).  Many suspect that democrat operatives and lawyers helped Al Franken “manage” the election reporting and recount in Minnesota to become the junior Senator although he probably lost the actual election.  While ACORN made headlines due to questionable interactions with the pretend whore and pimp, its real threat to destroying America is its mishandling and manipulation of voter registrations (and more than likely subsequent voting) in numerous states. But, that is not good enough or fast enough for the likes of George Soros who is now funding Secretary of State election campaigns through The SOS Project so that more progressives are in control of our elections and any recounts.

The overall corrupt culture which pervades both sides of the aisle seems eventually to woo even those who start out as the people’s candidates.  This is one of the strongest arguments for term limits, but we will have to elect a super majority of freshmen members in both Chambers to ever pass such a Constitutional amendment. Also, We the People need to accept our responsibility in allowing it to progress to this point.  Until Tea Party and other grassroots voters step up and start pooling our money and support for candidates and issues, the big money power players are going to continue to control all of our lives through our so-called elected representatives until they also control the elections, if we let them.

Tea Party voters want to know which, if any, current politicians will become our modern day American heroes, our versions of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John and Abigail Adams, James and Dolly Madison? Who will stand up, take on and eradicate our new enemy, the corruption that threatens to end our Republic?  We the People will stand with you and help you if you do – otherwise we are dedicated to replacing you before it is too late.
