Kudos to everyone who helped put this forum together. It was as professional as any that I have seen.
Did Ken Buck really say that to jane Norton’s representative? That was as masterful as, “I knew John Kennedy,…and you are no John Kennedy.”

Thank you for holding this wonderful event and for streaming it live for those that couldn’t make it to Denver. I was thrilled when I found out I was going to be able to watch it. It was like Christmas in February!!

Amazing job with the live stream. Thank you! Will you archive the video?

Great forum today! It certainly was one of the best. Thank you to all the candidates who took the time to attend. Ken Buck really did say “Must be present to win….” to Jane Norton’s surrogate. This is the second Denver forum I have attended and the second time Jane Norton has been a no show. I am all for eliminating surrogates from participating. If you cannot make it don’t send someone in your place.

Ken Buck was dominating, and I agree that surrogates are not worth the time it takes to hear them out. Make an opening statement and move on.
If you want to be my representative, you should show up and bring the heat- like Ken Buck does every time! How else will we know how the candidate will do against the likes of Harry Reid et al?

2010 is the most important election in the history of the United States for it will be the one that either changes our course from a certain demise or the one that will take us forward to the needs of the people, their communities and their States Not that of a central Orwellian bureaucracy.

Oh, boy am I gonna p.o. a lot of people.
Let me be up front. The venue was great. The enthusiasm was superb.
Now if we do it again. here’s some suggestions.
I’ve talked to two candidates today about the forum.
#1 Lighting.. and the big screen in the back. This is nice high tech fluff, but little more.
You do not need this face on lighting for streaming. It disconnects the candidates from their audience. The screen in the back is used for powerpoint presentations and movies. It is not meant to be used as in a stadium filled with people sitting hundreds of feet away. The candidates said this detracted from the presentation.
The candidates weren’t allowed to test the mikes before hand. Each candidate should be allowed to test the mikes and have a “monitor” speaker so they can hear how they sound.
The auditorium lights should have been turned all the way up in the auditorium and the stage lights shut off. Again, we are not in a “play” or a huge stadium.
Both Candidates that I spoke to almost left because of the delays and the lighting. Both candidates wanted more than a minute to respond. (heh go figure). Both candidates wanted a debate with live audience questions and questions from other candidates.
Debate is essential, not an option.
One liners while fun and enjoyable have nothing to do with a candidates ability to represent us and protect our constitutional rights.
Where’s the meat?
February 24th, 2010 @ 4:26 pm
1) Have you contacted the organizers with your concerns?
2) The candidates ostensibly agreed to the format as a term of participation. Those who can not or will not should not participate.
3) Testing mikes and choice of lighting was outside the purview of PPC. Generally, the lighting was excellent for the live webcast, and the projected image was something the organizers wanted us to do. The darkness of the projection was a result of a rented projector.
The feedback PPC received from both the candidates and audience we spoke with during and after the event was overwhelmingly positive. There was mention of a sound fade during the later portion of the afternoon, but that would be a venue issue. PPC controlled only the feed to the livestream and the projector, and is not responsible for the dim projector image.
We do appreciate your concerns. Is there anything else we should be made aware of in advance of the next forum?

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. O’Malley was not entirely satisfied with our event. Perhaps when he holds one himself we will be able to learn something from him. LOL! I have had nothing but positive feed back from the candidates and the guests, PPC did an excellent job, and we will be forever grateful for their generosity. Nuff said!
