Republican Primary Revs Up as Tom Lucero Releases TV Ad

University of Colorado Regent and CD4 Congressional Candidate Tom Lucero has released a TV spot aimed at engaging the voters of Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District well in advance of the coming primary. Lucero noted that in what has become a crowded, four-way primary (including State Representative Cory Gardner, Diggs Brown, and Dean Madere) in a top swing seat, his campaign is the first to take their message to television.
The campaign’s first TV ad highlights Lucero’s role in the removal of Ward Churchill from CU and ties the Reagent’s hard work at cleaning house at the University level to his goals of cleaning house in the United States Congress. Here’s the TV spot:

Going up with TV ads so early in a contested primary election is certainly not a conventional strategy. But I’m guessing Lucero believes something highly unconventional may be needed to overcome the cash and endorsement deficit. Or maybe something else is in play here…
