Memo to National GOP: Wake Up and FIGHT the Obama Care Travesty
by Ben DeGrow | 1:41 pm, December 12, 2009 | 1 Comment
Over at Red State, Erick Erickson outlines what Senate Republicans should be doing right now and in the coming days to slow down the anti-liberty Obama Care beast opposed by most Americans.
Among many others, Erick makes this salient point:
If the Republicans want the news media to cover what they are doing to educate the American people even further about the atrociousness of this bill, they have to create drama on the floor of the Senate.
The national Republican party is flirting dangerously with proving itself an entirely ineffectual ally of liberty and limited government. If they can’t fight the government health care takeover with all they have now, how can they be trusted in any meaningful way as fellow Guards of our future security?
Let it be known that we are paying attention. And a national Republican Party that would callously take for granted the votes of fiscal conservatives and friends of liberty at this most desperate hour will prove itself unworthy of loyal support.
So … WAKE UP!!!

Ben says, \"The national Republican party is flirting dangerously with proving itself an entirely ineffectual ally of liberty and limited government.\"
Flirting? They\’ve gone past flirting, beyond kisses on the neck, through heavy petting and into individual acts of perversion SO profound and disgusting that decorum prohibits listing them here.
Ben, you warn that \"a national Republican Party that would callously take for granted the votes of fiscal conservatives and friends of liberty at this most desperate hour will prove itself unworthy of loyal support.\"
I am not quite sure what more they have to do to prove unworthy of your support.
I challenge you, and my other liberty loving GOP friends, to produce a list of things the GOP will have to do to maintain your support. Then, if they do not, withdraw that support. Otherwise, your warning is meaningless. You will continue to be taken for granted.
Like a victim of battered spouse syndrome, too many believers in freedom take back the GOP because they are told, \"This time, Sweety, I mean it. Can we kiss and make up?\"
The cycle will not end until you reject the abuse.
And like a battered spouse, you might not have anywhere else to go. You have to go anyway.
Or keeping taking the black eyes and telling your friends you ran into the door.
