Where’s Scott McInnis?

Not everyone agrees with Scott McInnis’ attempts to skirt a potential debate between himself and his two challengers, State Sen. Josh Penry and businessman Dan Maes:
National Journal’s The Hotline: “McInnis Wusses Out”
Denver Post’s PoliticsWest: “McInnis has no plans to debate GOP foes”
GOP gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis told the Associated Press this afternoon that he has no plans to debate fellow Republicans Josh Penry and Dan Maes. This, of course, means that staffers/supporters of his opponents will start descending upon McInnis events wearing chicken suits and holding signs that call him “Chicken McNugget” or “McChicken,” or some such.
Aurora Sentinel: “Editorial: Ducking debate is a misstep for McInnis”
Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis underestimates the voting public on several levels by refusing to debate his chief GOP rival for the 2010 primary election.
. . .
McInnis is gravely mistaken in thinking that by simply avoiding public debates he’ll handily avoid criticism of his campaign by his opponents.
. . .
Rather than preserving his campaign, McInnis damages his image by coming off as being afraid to take the stage with his opponent. Penry’s campaign would be remiss if they’d hadn’t already reserved a big, yellow chicken costume for a host of campaign events.McInnis should avoid spending so much energy on fending off criticism for ducking debates and spend that time on winning them.
Republican voters across the state should be prompted to ask, “Where’s Scott?”
Where will he lead if he doesn’t take a stand?

Of course not! Why would anyone conclude that errors are geographical? Errors are errors and attempts to reinflate the British economy using the same hot air compressors that we use here aren’t going to work any better over there than they have here.

My essay about the silliness of the McInnis debate vs no debate is at http://www.businessword.com. I don’t support either candidate, but these guys are running for governor, not Congress or the General Assembly. A bunch of Democrats appear to be trying to get McInnis and Penry to fight.

We found Scott McInnis
He has a really serious case of McChickenidiss. There is no known cure once McChickenidiss is contracted. Below is what the virus has done to him:
