ObamaCare Advocates Don’t Astroturf, They “Coordinate”

Nothing to see here. MoveOn.

Apparently, progressives supporting President Barack Obama and the Democrats’ plans for health care don’t agitate–they “coordinate”:

More than a thousand people gathered Wednesday evening on the banks of the South Platte River in Confluence Park at dusk to mourn the dead and kick up some dust in support of national health care reform.

“People need to wake up: This is not about politics and who’s right or left,” said Charles Smith of Denver, a self-proclaimed Republican who carried a sign in support of government-run health insurance because his wife has no insurance because of her epilepsy. “Too many people in this country, right and left, are suffering physically and financially to make this about Democrats and Republicans.”

The liberal group MoveOn coordinated rallies across the country to fire up support for affordable health care and insurance as congressional members return to Washington next week.

“We’re sending them back to D.C., hopefully, to do the people’s work at being back comprehensive health care reform,” said Mitch Ackerman, president of the Service Employees International Union Local 105.

Rallies also were planned in Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont, Lafayette, Keenesburg, Glenwood Springs, Craig and Pagosa Springs Wednesday evening. A couple of hundred people were reported at the Lafayette rally near Festival Plaza.

Nope. “Self-proclaimed” Republicans” and SEIU presidents are totally grassroots.

The only thing green about these “grassroots” health care “reform” rallies is the money being paid to provide pre-printed signs, buses trucking in SEIU and other labor union representatives, and the coordination undertaken to make (fake?) the appearance of spontaneous, locally orchestrated political theater.

You see, it is not the process or the means that progressives use to justify their actions, just the intent. They want “free” health care for all, and are going to spend buckets of money to do get it done (of course, if they just donated the money they are spending to influence the national debate to local community clinics and other health care charities they’d, you know, actually help people).

Let me say it again–left-wing coordination can’t be “astroturfing”.

I mean, there is no evidence of that whatsoever!
