Colorado GOP Hopefuls at R Block Party Candidate Forum

Last Thursday, GOP candidates for statewide and local elections took part in a candidate forum hosted by local grassroots organization R Block Party.
The event had great attendance, not just with a nearly-full room at Bemis Public Library in Littleton (there were another ten or so people standing off-camera to the right) but with a broad selection of candidates from local, state, and national races:
The main attraction, of course, was NRSC-picked Senate candidate and former Lieutenant Governor Jane Norton, making what to those in the room was her first appearance at a grassroots event (though she mentioned in her speech having already met with various tea party and 9-12 groups). Sitting in “first chair”, she spoke early and then left without answering questions, clearly disappointing many audience members.
Below the jump are the speeches from the candidates in major races (Governor, Senate, Congress, and Colorado Legislature)…

It’s awfully easy to accuse the BLS of fudging the numbers for political purposes, especially since an improving economy is likely to improve Obama’s chances for a second term. But honesty requires that we look more closely at those numbers.
