Like Ted Stevens, the guy is an arrogant embarrassment to the party and is emblematic of the GOP's failure over the past eight-plus years to be responsible and live up to its stated ideals (small government and fiscal responsibility, in particular). An "oust Marostica" campaign would be a great activism opportunity for Republicans in that district (hell, in the state at large). And if a primary challenge is too difficult to mount due to the advantage his pocketbook gives him over potential Republican opponents, perhaps this is an race where an emboldened Libertarian Party ought to focus its resources. Yes, it’s time for him to go.
