It’s not even a good Keynesian bill

On page 6A of the Sunday Denver Post, the votes of all Colorado congressmen and senators are listed. In describing what it calls the "$787 Billion Stimulus" bill, the Post says the bill is "estimated to create or save at least 3.5 million jobs by 2011."
The entire point of Keynesian fiscal spending, in an effort to jumpstart an economy, is immediate spending.
Some quick math shows that 2011 is two years from now. That's not immediate.
It is akin to a doctor telling you he will take out your inflamed appendix two years from now.

Of course not! Why would anyone conclude that errors are geographical? Errors are errors and attempts to reinflate the British economy using the same hot air compressors that we use here aren’t going to work any better over there than they have here.
