Godzilla Loves Amendment 54 and 49

Apparently the misleading, contentless mailers with the Firefighter Union Boss, Police Officer Union Thug, and Teachers and Nurses Union BAs just aren’t enough for Protect Colorado’s Culture of Corruption Future. Now they’re telling us that if we don’t vote against these amendments, Denver will be destroyed by…
GODZILLA!!!!

Right. These guys are so full of crap that it’s actually getting old. I know they raised like $30 million dollars and they think that we Coloradans are stupid enough to fall for their out-of-state Union Scam. Now I don’t want to necessarily silence their free speech, but wasn’t decimating the economy of one state enough for these Unions? Anyone here want to turn out like Michigan?
Say it with me kids…
Amendment 49 brings ethical standards to government and makes PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS collect the dues from their members directly by prohibiting the PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS from using our tax dollar paid government employees from being their bagman. Vote YES on Amendment 49!
Amendment 54 stops the culture of corrupt bribery between scumbag contractors and corrupt politicians, and it also sets up a statewide database of no-bid government contracts allowing we the people to see who our politicians are handing our tax dollars to. Vote YES on Amendment 54!
I’m going to start a weekend campaign right here, right now. Apparently facts don’t matter to the Union Thug opponents to 49 and 54, so why should we worry about them now? So, remember when you vote this year: IF YOU LOVE BABBIES AND PUPPIES, THEN PROTECT THEM BY VOTING YES ON 49 and 54!

Wow, this is pretty easy. Maybe Protect Colorado’s Culture of Corruption Future is hiring?

CompleteColorado.com had it right when they reported on this flyer, “Halloween Scare: Godzilla Crushes Denver if Amendments 49 and 54 Pass.” It is coincidental that this came out the day before Halloween. Think I’ll go as a Union Thug for Halloween tonight. Anyone got suggestions for that costume? Liberty Girl???
October 31st, 2008 @ 10:27 am
Mmmhhmmm…
Union Thug costume would comprise the following features:
1) A belly
2) Yellow teeth
3) Some time of heavy wrench tool
4) Dark color clothing
5) Five o’clock shadow
Or you could just dress like this: http://s2.causes.com/photos/aI/5z/rd/5F/ps/rv/b8/JoH.jpg

LOL is this their union money spent well? Silly Godzilla lies! Thank goodness people can see past the ridiculous games and read the truth! Yes on 54 is a NO BRAINER! Yes on puppies, yes on babies, yes on TRANSPARENCY!!! These unions are scared of 54, but 54 is not scared of Godzilla.

You’ve got to be kidding me. This is the best you GOPer loosers can come up with? You attack the pro-worker side because they use Godzilla in their ads? Please. It’s not like they’re saying that Godzilla endorsed 49 and 54 (though the difference will be hard to tell once big business gets done raping the workers and public services in Colorado).
Try harder. Thinking is tough work but maybe you’ll come up with a real argument if you work at it.

No adrian, we mock them because they haven’t told the truth once this election season. Instead they’re hiding behind the $26.6 million they’ve raised from union PAC’s from Colorado (20%) and around the country (67%). But hey, when you can raise that kind of cash to protect your cushy union position from unsuspecting workers (http://facethestate.com/articles/11745-union-chief-clears-430k-2007-self-two-children), workers with no idea they’re funding campaigns in Colorado, then hey, why would you run a campaign that seeks to tell the truth. Please enlighten us with one truth that has come from Protect Colorado’s Culture of Corruption? Vote Yes on Amendments 47, 49 and 54!
October 31st, 2008 @ 6:25 pm
Simple. These amendments pass and there won’t be any unions left in Colorado. Workers won’t have the resources to organize to oppose the cutting of corners on fire and police equipment or unsafe working conditions for teachers or unsafe shift schedules for nurses (which endanger patients due to increased medical errors broguht on by fatigue). Just like the ads say.
But it’s not just the workers shown in the ads. Everyone in Colorado will suffer because big corporations will be free to exploit their workers without the workers being able to organize to stand up to them. Those that do try to organize, and make some headway without being allowed to collect any dues, will be undermined constantly by the fact that nonunionized workers will be allowed in (thanks to 47) at lower wages and without any healthcare costs or safety or equipment concerns that unions force the corproations to take seriously and will price them out of their jobs unfairly.
What do you people have against workers comign together to improve their jobs and working conditions and the quality of work they perform for the public? You’re all having a lot of fun mocking union workers standing up for their rights but will you be laughing when there’s no firemen to rescue you, your kids go to “privatized” schools in dilapidated buildings with outdated textbooks, and a tired and overworked nurse screws up your prescription.

adrian,
Unfortunately, you are ill-informed. Go back and do your homework. You may want to poke your nose in something other than propaganda published by union bosses. How does the passage of 49 diminish the ability to unionize? It may shift control from the union power bosses to the workers, who can hold the groups they decide to fund with their dues money to greater account. But it does absolutely NOTHING to restrict the ability of workers to voluntarily unionize.
49 and 54 affect governments only. So bringing up corporations is just a red herring. And besides, your description doesn’t reflect the reality of any right-to-work state, which is what 47 would accomplish.
Your inability to distinguish what each of these three amendments do and the restriction of your ability to only recite unsubstantiated scare tactics … well, you’d do a lot better thinking for yourself.

Seriously, Godzilla was on their mailpiece?
I think it is the other way around… it is the taxpayers that are being stomped on by Godzilla aka out of state union thugs and corrupt politicians. We need amendment 54 to pass so we can see where our money is being spent and protect ourselves from their Godzilla tactics.
VOTE YES on 54!

Don’t be misled by false advertising on amendments 47, 49 & 54. In this case, No means Yes. If you vote no, CORRUPTION continues. Please understand how they are written. Ben makes a great point and Adrian is obviously representing the crooks in question.
